What we do

Our volunteers and staff give high quality, independent, information and advice: over the phone; face to face or by email on a huge range of subjects. This gives people the knowledge and confidence they need to understand their options and to solve problems. We achieve great outcomes for our clients including: increasing income; appealing against incorrect benefit decisions; writing off unmanageable debt; preventing homelessness; helping those in fuel poverty or who have been treated unfairly by their employer. Research & Campaigns

We use our local data and wider research to understand the problems our communities are facing and to identify the underlying causes. We campaign for changes to be made so as to make positive differences in people’s lives.
